AIL Additional Protection
On top of your union benefits, term life, and whole life policies, protection options can be added to American Income Life (AIL) insurance policies. They can be added for specific benefits, have a specific term of coverage, and they usually cannot be written as a stand-alone policy. Several attractive benefits exist, which help to complete the supplemental insurance package.
Some of the most beneficial and popular benefits Altig International offers are:
ACCIDENTAL DEATH PROTECTION
This may be added to an insurance policy to provide for an additional amount to be paid to the beneficiary if the insured should die as a direct result of injuries caused by an accident.
This provides term insurance on the insured’s spouse (male or female).
This protects the lives of all the insured’s natural born, step children, or legally adopted children, and may be written on qualified children provided they are named on the policy.
This option has no death benefit itself. However, it guarantees the insured person the right to buy additional whole life insurance at future option dates, without evidence of insurability. The option dates occur at ages 25, 28, 31, 34, 37 and 40.
WAIVER OF PREMIUM
This provides for waiver of premium if the insured becomes disabled. Since premium payment is absolutely necessary to keep a policy in force, the payments must continue even if the insured becomes disabled. This option offers protection to keep your family protected.
